Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. Chicken breast or thighs (boneless, skinless)

  • 2 tbsp. Hogtown Taco seasoning

  • 2 tbsp. Neutral oil

  • 2 Cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 Yellow onion, minced

  • 1 Red or sweet onion, diced

  • 3 Medium tomatoes, diced

  • 1 Medium sweet pepper, diced

  • 1 Medium jalapeño, sliced

  • 1 Cup cilantro, chopped

  • 1 Cup white cabbage or lettuce, thinly sliced

  • 2 Cups shredded cheese

  • 1 Lime, sliced

  • 8–12 Soft or hard tortillas

Instructions

  1. Prep the Protein: Chop or slice the chicken into bite-sized pieces, then sprinkle with Hogtown Taco seasoning. Mix well to coat the chicken evenly. Mince the garlic and yellow onion.

  2. Prep the Toppings: Chop the red or sweet onion, sweet pepper, tomatoes, jalapeño, and lettuce. Shred the cheese and set everything aside.

  3. Sauté: Heat neutral oil in a non-stick pan over low to medium heat. Add the minced onion and garlic, sautéing for 2 to 3 minutes. Increase heat to medium-high and add the chicken (it should sizzle as it hits the pan). Cook for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring frequently to prevent burning, until cooked through.

  4. Taco Shells or Tortillas: Warm soft or hard tortillas according to package directions.

  5. Plating: Serve the tacos family-style for a fun, interactive meal! Top with salsa, guacamole, and sour cream.

Food Safety: Chicken is cooked thoroughly when it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
